How deep tissue massage works
Deep tissue massage uses slower strokes and concentrated pressure from the thumbs, forearms and elbows. The aim is to release adhesions, the tight bands of muscle and connective tissue that cause stiffness and restricted movement. Your therapist warms the muscles first, then works progressively deeper as the tissue relaxes.
It is not meant to be painful. You will feel strong pressure on tight areas, and you can ask your therapist to go lighter or firmer at any point.

Deep tissue massage for office workers
Business Bay is one of Dubai's busiest commercial districts, and the pattern we see most is the same: rounded shoulders, a stiff upper back and a tight neck from laptop work. A 60 or 90 minute deep tissue session focused on these areas makes a noticeable difference, especially when booked every two to four weeks.
Aftercare
Drink plenty of water after your session and avoid heavy training for the rest of the day. Mild soreness for 24 hours is normal and fades quickly. A soak in our jacuzzi straight after the massage helps the muscles stay relaxed.

Frequently asked questions
Does deep tissue massage hurt?
It should feel strong but never sharp or unbearable. Tell your therapist if the pressure is too much and they will adjust it immediately.
How often should I get a deep tissue massage?
For ongoing desk-related stiffness, every two to four weeks works well. For a one-off problem, one or two sessions a week apart is usually enough.
Is deep tissue better than Thai massage for back pain?
Both help. Deep tissue focuses on direct pressure into knots, while Thai massage adds stretching. If you are not sure, start with deep tissue for targeted relief.
