Your first Moroccan bath: what to expect
The Moroccan bath is one of the most rewarding treatments you can have in Dubai, especially if you have never tried one. Here is exactly what happens.
1. Warming up
You start by relaxing in warmth so your pores open and your skin softens. This makes the exfoliation more effective and more comfortable.
2. Black soap
Your attendant applies Moroccan black soap, a thick natural paste made from olives. It stays on the skin for several minutes to soften dead skin cells.
3. Kessa scrub
Using a textured kessa glove, the attendant scrubs your whole body. You will be surprised by how much dead skin comes away. The pressure is firm but never painful.
4. Rinse and finish
Warm water rinses everything away, leaving your skin noticeably smoother. Many guests finish with a massage or a soak in the jacuzzi.
How to prepare
- Avoid shaving on the day of your bath
- Drink water before and after
- Allow time afterwards to relax
